Larry King and Jonas Brothers Say Thanks for Helping Save a Life
Tampa, FL — In February of this year, Larry King came to Tampa to thank students at Hillel School of Tampa who spent months raising money that would help a stranger receive life saving surgery. On that day, Larry and the patient, Wayne "Ace" Doucet, spent the day thanking the kids for saving his life and the foundation that helped make it all possible.
Prior to his heart surgery, Mr. Doucet was a roadie whose job it is to build stages for many music acts that travel into Florida. As a way to say thank you to the kids, Ace had an idea after seeing the Jonas Brothers appear on the Larry King Live show. His idea was to have a meet and greet with the Jonas Brothers with some of the kids that saved his life. On August 18th, when the Brothers came to Tampa, that idea came to life!
Larry paid a big special thanks to the Jonas Brothers for taking the time during their hectic tour to meet with one of our Larry King Cardiac Foundation patients and the kids at Hillel School. Ace Doucet, who is pictured between the boys, is seen here with some of the kids that raised money to help save his life.
It was a magical moment and something everyone will remember for a lifetime.
